Research:

This is the Coogan family Killatain, Parish Carrickaboy, County Cavan.
Two members of this group, John Francis Coogan and Edward Joseph Coogan,
emigrated to the United States in the early Twentieth Century.  They 
settled in Brooklyn (Kings County), New York.

The brothers worked at copper companies in Laurel Hill, Long Island.

A clue to this family can be found in Ellis Island records: an Edwin I. 
[or T.] Coogan arrived at Ellis Island aboard "Aquitania" on 20 NOV 
1920, age 32, from Killatam.
